Although the last year was full of challenges, we have experienced so many precious moments at Emakina.RS.
Since one of our values are the people, we are proud to say that we continued to invest in our colleagues and it was our most significant achievement in 2020. These are the results we are most proud of:
- 33 new colleagues (more than double compared to 2019)
- 100+ praises
- 13 new certified developers
- 6 new tech leads
- 4 new positions (Front-end Developer, Digital Designer, Web Content Editor, Business Analyst)
- 2 babies 🙂
What Else We Did During 2020
During the last year, we had to get used to the “new normal.” At first, it seemed as if we would need to pause our lectures, knowledge-sharing sessions, and workshops. Also, at the very beginning of the pandemic, it looked like we had to put team-building activities and happy hour gatherings on hold.

Despite all of the challenges, we accomplished our goal to grow continuously. We organised:
- 24 knowledge-sharing sessions
- 19 workshops:
- People skills
- First-time leaders
- Tech leads meetings
- Be the best version of you
- Hackathon
- Mini team-building activities:
- Riding horses
- Riding quads
- Playing golf
- Visiting an escape room
- Racing at a karting ring

Besides internal events, we organised the first external lecture. Our colleague Rajko Bačić prepared an online lecture, “Terraforming Your Cloud Infrastructure.”
In September our CTO Dejan Ostojić participated in an online panel discussion about breaking the myths about the IT industry.

What Are Our Plans for 2021?
Our main focus will be the continuous growth of our team and scope of work. With this in mind, we are planning to move to a bigger company space.
Besides starting working with more colleagues, we are planning to expand the list of our job positions. Some of them are:
- Project Manager
- Marketing Cloud Specialist
- Service Cloud Developer
- Resource Analyst
So, keep an eye on our vacancies. Meanwhile, we will continue to adapt and hold knowledge-sharing sessions, tech-lead meetings, people-skills, and first-time manager workshops.

What’s more, we are going to keep on participating in corporate events promoting social responsibility and try to help our community as much as we can.
2020, thank you for teaching us a lot! 2021, we are looking forward to growing continuously and making all of our wishes come true.
