Did you make a New Year’s resolution this year? Do you still remember what your goal was?
Some of our colleagues decided to step out of their comfort zone and develop healthier habits. They figured out what they would like to improve and turn it into a routine.
Some of our colleagues’ goals were to:
- Improve their English
- Meditate and practice yoga
- Work out
- Write their Master’s degree final project
Let’s learn more about the concept of this 21-day long journey and find out what one of our colleagues has learned from this experience.
What Did the 21-Day Challenge at Emakina.RS Look Like?
Once our colleagues decided what things they want to improve and what kind of habits they want to adopt, they broke their goals into 21 trackable milestones.
Additionally, each of the participants talked about what obstacles they might come across along the way and what their current activities were compared with the results they wanted to achieve.
We asked our colleague Miroslav Mihnjak to share his impressions about the challenge. His goal was to start working out four days a week:
“I really liked the idea especially because it is supported by scientific evidence that it takes you 21 day to develop a habit. I have been thinking about starting to train for a long time, but I kept postponing it. When I found out about this challenge, I saw that as the sign and I immediately decided to join it.
My biggest drive was the result I will achieve and once the challenge finishes.
I am definitely planning to continue training after the 21-day challenge. My girlfriend also liked this idea so we will work on developing this habit together.”
What Conclusions Have We Made?
Even though not all of our colleagues managed to achieve their initial goals, they told us this experience is only the first step in turning their aspirations into reality.
We want to congratulate all of our colleagues for showing the readiness to challenge themselves and become an even better version of themselves!
